About Me

Margaret Fonseca is a Professional Counselor and Certified Professional Coach with 29 years of experience.

IMG_0974-001She currently practices in White & Cartersville, Georgia and has lived and practiced in New Jersey, the New York metropolitan area, Palm Beach County, Florida and Cumming, GA.


In prior professional roles, Ms. Fonseca has held the position of Director of Social Services in health care facilities providing assisted-living and long-term care residential services. Her life coaching practice specializes in helping victims of domestic violence, individuals with new diagnosis and chronic illnesses, elderly and caregivers find achievable goals and overcome barriers to create a life of balance and flexibility.


As the former president of the New Jersey Multicultural Counseling Association, Ms.Fonseca designed and executed a successful conference for the organization in 1999. This accomplishment is indicative of her leadership and organizational abilities as well as expertise in the field of counseling and personal development.


She was also a recent presenter at the Annual American Mental Health Counselor Association AMCHA) conference in Washington, D.C: “Alzheimer’s: The Mystery that Remains.” Institute for the Study and Promotion of Race and Culture (ISPRC), Boston, MA: Domestic Violence and the Battered Woman.


Ms. Fonseca’s educational credentials include extensive training and advanced degrees in counseling, psychology and nursing:

Ms. Fonseca is a published author with articles appearing in renowned professional journals, i.e. American Mental Health Counseling Association, The Advocate: Domestic Violence and the Battered Woman, Adult Span: Family Council Now.
