Anxiety and Depression

Your life feels out of control.

Anxiety is the cause of a feared event, and as our fears escalate, we forget to stop and analyze the many probabilities that may have contributed to the cause. Those dealing with anxiety are hypervigilant, constantly staying aware of what negative thing might happen.

This hypervigilance, because of anxiety, can cause you to feel continually on edge, making concentration difficult, creating trouble falling asleep, and staying in a state of irritability. In addition, dealing with anxiety can cause you to remain in a state of hyperactivity that can affect you physically, causing heart palpitations, shortness of breath, tiredness, and shaking of the legs and feet.

Although those suffering from anxiety and depression share some similar physiological characteristics, those dealing with depression show a diminished interest or enjoyment of activities, sleeplessness or hypersomnia, feelings of hopelessness, worthlessness or inappropriate guilt, and low self-esteem.

Suffering from anxiety, depression, or both can rob you of the life you deserve. Therapy can help you overcome the control that anxiety and depression have on you, allowing you to gain power and move forward positively.

Let’s work to help you gain control.

As a therapist with training in helping people with anxiety or depression, I help clients identify what life experiences or feelings are the root cause of their anxiety or depression.

I help clients develop the ability to recognize, accept, and cope with feelings of cognitive patterns and beliefs about themselves, and learn new ways to overcome the emotions and negative thoughts associated with anxiety and depression. Through such work, clients learn how to change their behaviors and lead a life free from the control of anxiety and depression.

Change is a journey of life. It involves self-exploration and self-awareness regarding personal, career, and professional goals. It heightens one’s ability to feel accomplishment, hope, and acceptance in all aspects of life.

I aim to help you gain control, experience hope, and make the changes you desire and need. Call (678) 719-8168 to set up a free 20-minute phone consultation, and let’s get started. You deserve to be free from behaviors that keep you stuck.
