Where Teens Thrive and
Parents Feel Confident

You don’t feel like you ‘fit’ in anywhere.

It’s hard to see the whole picture when you can’t stop worrying about what people think at school.

You worry so much about what peers think that it creates a lot of anxiety and emotional upheaval.

In your mind, bullying is a real possibility.

Your feelings are near the surface.

The pressure to fit in, perform at a high level in class, succeed in sports or art, volunteer to pad your resume for college – when do you catch a break????

And then your parents ask… about everything.

You know it’s because they care, but you just can’t give them the answers you think they want.

I speak ‘Teen.’

I have spent many years focusing on helping teens.

Working from a client-centered therapy environment, I encourage teens to recognize they are safe with me.

All conversations are confidential as they build confidence, courage, and growth.

Parents, you matter, too!

I encourage teens to share their thoughts and feelings with you without fear of judgment and criticism.

Teenagers are blind to the fact that failures are building blocks to growth and success.

However, through perceived failures, teens can learn resilience and improve their self-esteem.

Parents, please use active listening skills with good eye contact to show that you are listening to your teen’s thoughts and feelings, without thinking about how you will respond. Listening and silence are more effective than constantly talking.

Working with teens to counsel and guide them to overcome setbacks would be my honor.

We can focus on using failure to foster new beginnings and empower growth.

Through our work, teens can build confidence and resilience for positive outcomes.

Let’s have a 15-minute conversation to learn if we might work well together.

Hi, I’m Margaret.

I welcome all of you. I listen intently and am fully present, so I hear and absorb all you have to say.

My therapy sessions are all about YOU! I want to know what causes you to struggle, what you’ve tried, and invite you to think differently about your challenges.

I practice from a positive approach. We’ll explore ways to express positive and negative emotions and find healthy ways to manage stress.

The aim is to find achievable goals, overcome fear of failure (after all, failure is growth), find success, and establish resilience and confidence to create a life of balance.

You are my priority during our time together.
